Little ghouls and goblins get ready for a hauntingly good time this Halloween! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of spooky crafts, games and sweets galore! Plus, don’t miss our fant-tastic incentre treasure hunt packed with sweet prizes. Come dressed in your best spooktacular outfit!  No bookings needed – just drop by and join the FREE fun!

Hobbysew Celebrates 20 years at Figtree Grove

In 2004, Hobbysew opened in-centre offering high-quality 100% cotton fabrics, craft supplies, wool, yarn, embroidery supplies and haberdashery. 

Starting with only a couple of sewing machines they now have several big brand machines for just about every sewing job you can think of. They stock Janome, Brother, Bernina, Handi Quilter, Singer, Husqvarna Viking, and most recently added Juki, a brand for serious sewers. 

Nicole, the current store manager, has worked at Hobbysew since the first year of operation. Working her way up from sales assistant to store manager 4 years ago. 

Working at Hobbysew has its perks for hobbyists like Nicole, she loves all things sewing whether it’s on a machine or by hand, and she loves embroidery, crocheting and anything crafty.

“Being around all things craft makes me happy and the people that love to craft tend to have a very generous and kind nature,”

“It’s fabulous to see what people create and their want to learn and share,” she said.

Over the years Nicole has seen customers bond over classes and the latest release of a state-of-the-art sewing machine, but she also shared what customers come back to the store for the most.

“Our most popular products are fabric, sewing supplies and machines of course,” she said.

To celebrate the 20th year at Hobbysew, customers can enjoy mega specials from Thursday, 30 May to Saturday, 1 June 2024 on:

Visit the store on Thursday, 30 May 2024 to meet with a Janome educator in-store demonstrating feet and accessories from 10am–12pm. After midday, customers can find their perfect sewing machine based on their hobbies. 

Visit the store on Friday, 31 May 2024 and book a class to learn the foundations of piecing technique with educator Anorina. 

Visit the store on Saturday, 1 June 2024 and book a class to learn garment assembly and making your own clothing. 

Hobbysew is open 6 days a week, 9am–4pm daily.

Meet Marley the newest edition to Pure Beauty and Hair Co.

Marley is a seasoned hairdresser with over 15 years’ worth of experience, extending her knowledge of all things hair with additional courses alongside industry professionals including Wella, Goldwell and Keune.

When Marley isn’t working in the salon she enjoys the creature comforts of life with a captivating book, painting vibrantly on a canvas or making a delicious meal in the kitchen.

Clients will experience friendly service with Marley as she is passionate about transforming her clients and witnessing the smile that comes from a great salon visit.

You may know Marley from her freelance business “Obsydian Hair”. Drawing from the inspiration of the Obsidian stone (strength and transformation) Marley works with her clients to create great hair and embrace their unique beauty and confidence.

“Every moment is an opportunity for creativity and connection, and I’m thrilled to share that passion with my clients,” she said.
